Big congrats to Riley Hooper who was awarded three graduate student awards in 2020 including a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada CGS-D, Alberta innovates graduate scholarship and an Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship. A prime example of the cross-pollination, interdisciplinary research and recruitment abilities offered by an outstanding undergraduate program across Canada known as ICE (Inorganic Chemistry Exchange). Riley did his undergraduate at Western and an undergraduate research term at the University of Alberta. He is now a 1st yr graduate student at the UofA studying at the interface of Materials Science and solid-state NMR Spectroscopy. Congrats from the whole group!
