Riley our undergraduate visiting from Western on the Inorganic Chemistry Exchange received an ICE award for his talk at the meeting this past weekend at the UofS.  Great job representing the UofA and the Michaelis and Veinot research groups!

This summer we are fortunate to have Chuning visiting from Jilin Univeristy on a MITACS internship & Rebecca our WISEST intern. Both will be exploring exciting frontiers in solid-state NMR and materials science.

Alex's Ultrahigh Field Study is Published in ACS Earth and Space Chemistry!

Congrats to Alex Faucher: Her ultrahigh field study of complex borate minerals featuring Mg-25 NMR results from Canada's 900 MHz instrument in Ottawa will appear in ACS Earth and Space Chemistry!

Cat brings home a CATC award!

Congrats to Cat for her 1st place poster CATC award at the WCUCC this past spring!  Her research project looked at DFT Calculations of NMR parameters for solids in collaboration with the Brown Group!

State-of-the-art NMR console - Awarded

Our group has been awarded a CFI JELF to upgrade our solid-state NMR facility with a state-of-the-art solid-state NMR console for next-generation materials science. Our team is grateful to our funding partners CFI and the Province of Alberta for supporting this research program and their continued investment in education and training young innovators for years to come.
